Spike

Josh is a Toronto based Actor/Filmmaker and is excited to appear in his first production with WEST. He has had a passion for theatre and film since a young age and has fond memories of attending summer camps at WEST as a child. He is incredibly excited to work with Yo again and collaborate with his amazing and talented castmates.

Ilene Elkaim
Masha

Ilene is thrilled to return to WEST, where she treads the boards with excitement as the character Masha. Her most recent performances with WEST are: Talking With and The Laramie Project. Ilene has been a presence in the theatre community for over two decades, as both a Producer as well as an Actor in Halton and Hamilton regions. Heartfelt thanks extended to Yo, and the entire cast and production crew - it’s been an absolute joy to “work” and laugh together. Special thanks are extended to her husband, Albert, for his unwavering support.

Lucy Ellis
Nina

Lucy Ellis is a Toronto-based actor, singer/songwriter, and composer. She graduated from George Brown Theatre School in 2022, and at the end of 2023, graduated from Seneca’s Independent Music Production program. She recently released her FACTOR-funded debut EP and is always writing songs for the characters she plays! Selected theatre credits include Emily in Our Town (West End Studio Theatre), Juliet in Romeo and Juliet (Sunbeam Theatre), and Imogen in Cymbeline (George Brown Theatre School).

Sonia

Kelly is absolutely delighted to return to WEST, reunited with Yo and an exceptionally talented cast and crew. Her most recent role was as Hecuba in Trojan Women, and she eagerly anticipates the opportunity to explore the lighter side of the stage with this comedic performance. Among her cherished past roles are Martha in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Rita in Educating Rita, Maureen in The Beauty Queen of Leenane, Lizzie Borden in Blood Relations, and Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire. Kelly extends her heartfelt gratitude to her family for their unwavering love and support.

BRIAN MELANSON
Vanya

Brian is honoured to be a part of this incredibly humorous cast with WEST. Most recently, Brian appeared as one of the 12 Angry Men and the Messenger in Trojan Women for WEST. Past performances with WEST include Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (“Brick”); The Good Doctor (“Narrator”); The Laramie Project (“Moises”); and Art (“Marc”) and recently with Dundas Little Theatre as Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace. Brian is immensely thankful to Yo for his guidance and stories, and to his family for their support in doing what he loves.

Zakiya Toby-Erwig
Cassandra

Zakiya is excited to be returning to the stage at WEST. She has been an actor for many years in Southern Ontario. Some of her favourite roles include French Fries in Talking With…, Sebastian in The Little Mermaid, and Dionne in HAIR. She would like to extend her gratitude to Director Yo, the talented cast and production crew.  As well as thank her incredible family; Christian, Sariya and Carsten, for their unwavering support.
