Cast

Maureen Dwyer
Margaret

Waiting for the Parade is the second West End Studio show Maureen has done and what a joy it is to work with Yo Mustafa and all of the fabulous family at the Studio!! I have loved this play for so long - always sharing it with my senior Drama students, and using excerpts for Remembrance Day.  Some may see Margaret as a tragic figure, but, like all the women in this play, she shows resilience, and determination, and tenacity and love, even in the darkest of moments. Thank you to my fellow women in WFTP, to Yo, the crew, and all who bring this magic to the stage!  Gratitude and Remembrance.

Christine Ann Marchetti
Marta

Christine is thrilled to part of her fourth WEST production: last September she performed in Talking With, in March she played the role of Mrs. Webb in Our Town, and this September she played Andromache in Trojan Women. Up next are Theatre Burlington's productions of Timepiece and then Bluebirds. Thanks to Yo and the amazing production staff at WEST and love to her husband and boys for their patience and support.

Kayla is thrilled to be working with Yo and WEST again, having previously appeared in The Crucible (“Elizabeth”), The Dining Room (“3rd Actress”), A Doll’s House (“Nora”), and Trojan Women ("Athena").  Her career in voiceover, television and commercials has taken her across Canada, and most recently, her work in theatre brought her all the way to Osaka, Japan, where she originated the role of “Professor/Sensei” for Hippogriff Magical Lesson in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios.  She holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Windsor.

Carla Zabek
Janet

Carla is thrilled to be performing again in a WEST production after Talking With and Our Town.  Being cast as Janet in Waiting for the Parade has been a special experience for a myriad of reasons.  First, Janet is a wonderful, complex and challenging character.  I am grateful for Yo for his guidance, support, understanding, and patience in helping me find Janet.  Second, playing the piano is another passion of mine and to combine the two is very special.  Third, I have marveled at the depth of talent of my castmates and have learned much from them.  We have supported and encouraged each other throughout the process, and I would welcome the opportunity to work with any of them again. Fourth, the crew has been outstanding. Lastly, this play is so beautifully written; with each rehearsal we discovered more hidden gems. Thank you John Murrell.
