OAKVILLE CENTRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS

What begins as a social call quickly - and hilariously - takes a bizarre turn. What follows is a wildly unpredictable afternoon with life-altering consequences. "Delivers more consistent laughs than I've had in a long time" - CBC

My 86 year old mother and I went to see “The Myth of the Ostrich” tonight at the Oakville Centre of Performing Arts. I just wanted to let you know that we both LOVED it!  The actors were excellent and absolutely nailed their characters. They were all so believable and true. It was funny, awkward (in the best way possible), poignant and just plain fun. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.

Alexa Young, CA

Kimberly’s favourite roles include Mrs. Bennett (Pride and Prejudice), Hilda (Hilda’s Yard), Mrs. Van Daan (Diary of Anne Frank), and M’Lynn (Steel Magnolias). Kimberly lives at home with her husband, two dogs, and her cat. Many thanks to the dedicated cast and crew, who all worked tirelessly to bring the production to life. (You were NEVER nick-namable … /H2H).

CAST

Deb Dagenais
HOLLY

Having laughed out loud reading Myth of the Ostrich years ago, then working on a production in 2023 as producer, Deb is now thrilled to actually be in this variation as part of a wonderful creative team.

No stranger to stages in the Hamilton and Halton areas, Deb is very happy to be back in the town where she and Peter raised their 3 wonderful children and survived their weird, alien-invasion-type phases.

Christine Ann Marchetti
PAM

Christine is thrilled to be reprising the role of Pam, arguably the most fun she’s ever had on stage! Christine was last in Theatre Burlington’s Bluebirds (“Maggie”) and last fall worked with WEST in Waiting for the Parade (“Marta”) and Trojan Women (“Andromache”). Christine couldn’t be happier to work with Yo again, and with two actors she so admires and considers friends. As always, love to Jason, Andrew, & Charles whose support and generosity she is grateful for.  Thank you to everyone at WEST who contributed to this production.

CREW

Rod McTaggert
ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER

Rod is delighted to be backstage as Assistant Stage Manager (ASM) for this production. He was an ASM for A Trip to Bountiful and The Winslow Boy, and the Stage Manager in Our Town, lol.

This cast and crew are wonderful!

This production is hilarious.

-

Laura Moran
STAGE MANAGER

Laura once again is thrilled to be part of a WEST Production. This is Laura's 10th production working with WEST as either a Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager. Enjoy!

-

Gabriela Hurd
PROPS

Gabriela is thrilled to be working on another WEST production. Having worked on exciting projects like Our Town, Waiting For the Parade, and Home for Christmas, she is thankful for this amazing cast and crew!
